Angela Doreen thoughts for today:

Saul was a murderer, he diligently pursue his passion with fervency not realising he was heading for destruction. But there came a time that God in his mercies remove him from what was familiar and brought him to a place of unfamiliarity, a place where he would have an encounter and what an encounter it was that day on the Damascus road when God shine His light upon Him and Saul recognise a great phenomena was taking place right there in that strange place someone was not only speaking to Him in his own language, a language he recognised but this person knew him by name. You see Saul were called by his name Paul the name given to him at birth the name no one else knew. What a great way to be disarmed here in a strange land on a strange road, a voice one of familiarity, a voice that stripped you of all your pomp and hardness a voice that met you right where you are at.

This morning I am thinking that sometimes God will bring us to a place or to a situation in order for us to hear His voice so He can save us. So today are at a place that is unfamiliar to you a place where the Saviour has come to meet you.

Funny, I remember my own situation where I was in such a situation heading for destruction with nowhere to turn well it was at that point that I heard and saw my Saviour and accepted Him into my life, the best move I have ever made.

Today if you have been brought to a place outside of your familiar zone I wonder have you heard the Saviour calling, have you answered or have you harden your heart. Saul was completely undone when he heard the voce it change his life completely and he went on to greatness among the disciples. God met Him where he was and spoke to him in a language that he understood is God speaking to you today are you hearing His voice will you accept Him knowing that before the foundation of the world He knew you, yes even before you were formed in your mother’s womb He knew you, He knows you by name, He cares about you and He wants to save you, will you come out from among them and accept that invitation to be saved. The apostle Paul was a murderer he was heading for destruction but God knew Him even before He was born and had a plan of good for His life so too your life God has a plan for good for you and no matter where you are in life God can and will turn your life around if you are willing.

Todays reading Acts 9:1-10

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men, which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
