The Great Promise

Genesis 15:18

In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, unto thy seed have I given this land from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates

You know it is so amazing isn’t it, that great expectation, the great hope that we so look forward to and we know that if it has been promise by God then it will surely happen because we know that the word of God cannot and will never be voided.

However, it is even more amazing that so many have latched on to this great promise without considering what the promise is and to whom the promise has been given.  Now we see from the above verse Genesis 15:18 that the promise was made to one man Abram and his seed, it should also be noted that there are many people who disregard Abram and who care nothing for the things of old, many who do not realise and have not taken notice that the promise was made to Abram and his seed yet many, many people have determined that they have a place reserved an entry to the promise land yet they have not ask how they will get to that promise land, they have latched on to the promise without knowing the contents of the promise.  They have not enquire or question the fact that the Giver did not say to Abram and His seeds but to Abram and his seed singular, they have not enquired who this seed is and why the Giver only bequeath this promise to Abram and is singular seed and how then can they become partakers, how then can they be inheritors, if the promise is to Abram and his singular seed.  Many who have not realise that the promise have not been made to Adam and his seeds but to Abram and his seed.  Neither have they enquire who might Abram seed be.

Many have gone on before and there are many more who are waiting to go, thinking that they have a place, a final destination in the promise land yet they scoffed at the name of Jesus, they ridicule Him, they spat at Him, they deny Him, the trouble is had they ask they would have realise that the promise made was to Abram and His seed whose name is Jesus the one they scoffed at, the one they spat at and denied, the one with the only key that could let them into that very promise, He is the Son the one and only seed who they needed to befriend and to become joint heirs with.

The trouble is those that have gone on before who have denied Him will soon find out the folly of their ways but you who are still in the land of the living, are you enquiring to whom the promise was made and how to be inheritors of that promise or will you too die in ignorance.
